Mail PassView A Free Utility to Recover a Lost Email Password
Have you run into this problem yet? Your friend or family member, whos been using a computer for several years, buys a new computer and asks for your help to move everything over to the new computer. Youre able to copy their data files to the PC, but when its time to set up their email program, they know their email address, but when you ask about their password, they give you that deer in the headlights lookthey have no idea what the password is.
You may be able to help them if on their old PC, they used a program like Thunderbird, Outlook Express, or Outlook.
Mail PassView is free and stand-alone (meaning you dont need to install it). Just run it on the target computer and it will display the account information for any email program it supports. The Mail PassView program, along with a complete list of supported software is here on the Nirsoft website: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/mailpv.html

NIR has some great software. Their WirelessKeyView (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html) also deserves a mention.
It allows for quick recovery of ‘forgotten’ wireless encryption keys from Windows 2000, XP or Vista wireless profiles. It also demonstrated the insecurity of using WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK for local access security.
